How to get to Puerto Natales
BY PLANE is the most direct way to get to Punta Arenas, the most important city on the Torres del Paine. There are daily flights on Lan Chile (One World) to Punta Arenas, capital city of Region XII from Santiago, Capital of Chile. Flight time 4:15 from Santiago with a stop at Puerto Mont. The Airport at Punta Arenas is 20 KM from downtown Punta Arenas and at 226 KM from Puerto Natales.
BY BUS on land there are 3.100 KM from Santiago or 2.300 from Puerto Mont. From Puerto Mont going south the route takes you on the Argentinean side and it crosses over to Chile over the Mount Aymond pass close to the Argentinean city of Rio Gallegos and at 192 KM from Punta Arena. There are no regular buses from Santiago, but there are from Puerto Mont up to Puerto Natales on a one day trip.
BY BOAT from Puerto Mont there is a route between Puerto Mont and Puerto Natales cruising through the southern channels which is a different experience to know Chile and the natural environment of the Chilean Patagonia. The departure is on the Navimag ship, only on Mondays at 14:00Hrs and it arrives at Puerto Natales on Thursday at 11:00 am.
Torres del Paine
The Torres del Paine National Park is located on the XII Chilean Region, in the middle of the Andes Range and the Patagonia Steppe, in the Ultima Esperanza (Last Hope) province, community of Torres del Paine. The Torres del Paine National Park is opened all year round and it is managed by the Corporacion Nacional Forestal CONAF (National Forest Corporation) www.conaf.cl. The access is approximately 115 KM from Puerto Natales. The opening hours at the Sarmiento and Laguna Amarga gates are from 8:30 to 20:30 hrs. all year round.
How to get to Kau?
We are located on the Puerto Natales Costanera at the edge of the Ultima Esperanza Fiord and 4 blocks from downtown. With a magical view of the Big Paine, the Balmaceda Mountain and Glacier, the Prat Range and the Sarmiento Range. Regular buses that come from Punta Arenas, Torres del Paine and Calafate arrive to the main station called "Rodoviario", from there you can take a taxi to our Hotel. We have free parking spaces if you come by personal or rented car. We are at 10 minutes from the Puerto Natales airport. If you are flying in on the Sky flight you will land on Puerto Natales on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
